Weather Holds Off For A While
It began snowing almost on cue as inaugural ceremonies got underway Wednesday in Annapolis.
However, even the deep January chill that turned Lawyer's Mall into a crusty arena did not blunt the eagerness among hundreds of Marylanders -- and a few well know out of staters like New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie -- to see the installation of Larry Hogan, a Republican, as the state's 62nd governor.
"The governor has said that he will stay here until he has shaken everyone's hands, " an aide said.
Hogan's 15-minute address followed a briefer one by Lt. Gov. Boyd Rutherford.
